As starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Renegades, Pittsburgh’s NFL team, I have it all. The city I love. The game I love. A Super Bowl ring. Everything I’ve ever wanted.

But even with all that, I still feel like I’m missing someone to share it with.

On a mission to find my person, I join an anonymous dating app, hoping it will bring me the girl I can call mine. And it does. At least, I thought so.

But when my lifelong best friend Sophie Sullivan moves into my house temporarily, seeing her every morning and coming home to her every night has me feeling things I didn’t expect. Big things. Important things. Way more than friendship things. Maybe even…love things.

Falling for two women is confusing, until I realize that Sophie is the anonymous girl from the app, and I set out in a mission to make her fall for me – to show her that the only future that makes any sense at all is the one where we spend it by each other’s sides.

We may have started off as best friends, but loving Sophie is as easy as breathing and I’m determined to give her everything. To show her that we were always supposed to belong to each other. That she was always meant to be mine.

Samantha Brinn, I need to send you an invoice for emotional damages because Irresistibly Us completely took over my life.

I knew going in that Tyler and Sophie’s story was going to be special. It was one of my most anticipated releases of the year, and somehow it still exceeded every expectation I had. This book didn’t just live up to the hype—it sprinted past it and planted its flag firmly at the top of my all-time favorites list.

Tyler and Sophie are the definition of “it’s always been you.”

These two have been best friends since birth, sharing birthdays just hours apart and celebrating them together every year at midnight in Tyler’s backyard. No matter where life took them, they always came back to that tradition. Samantha Brinn did such an incredible job showing the history between them that their connection felt completely lived-in. Every memory, every inside joke, every moment they shared added another layer to a relationship that already felt unbreakable before romance ever entered the picture.

“So, it’s settled. No matter where we are or what we’re doing, we always meet back here for birthday night. Every year, no matter what.”

What I loved most about Tyler was how all-in he became once he finally realized what everyone else had known all along. The moment the blinders came off, there was no hesitation. No endless back-and-forth. No games. This man discovered he was in love with Sophie and immediately made it his mission to spend the rest of his life proving it to her.

Sitting in the sudden, startling realization that Sophie is gorgeous and perfect and wondering how it’s possible I went twenty-six years without noticing.

Sweet mercy.

This man remembers everything. The temperature of her Dr. Pepper. Her favorite jelly beans. The pajamas she likes to wear. How she likes her grilled cheese. Every tiny detail. His love language is acts of service, and watching him care for Sophie in a thousand little ways absolutely melted my heart. He’s possessive, protective, devoted, and so hopelessly gone for her that I honestly spent half the book grinning like an idiot.

“I remember everything about you, Soph. Every. Fucking. Thing.”

The anonymous dating app storyline was perfection. Finding out Sophie was his ChaosGirl only fueled Tyler’s determination, and I loved that Samantha didn’t drag out the secret for too long. The reveal brought just the right amount of tension, humor, and emotional payoff, especially when Sophie decided to make him sweat a little after learning he’d figured it out before she did.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. Everything inside me lights up. My grin cannot be contained. Sophie is ChaosGirl. ChaosGirl is Sophie.
I’m going to make Sophie Sullivan fall for me. This is going to be so much fucking fun.

The emotional depth in this story was just as strong as the romance. Samantha Brinn handled Tyler’s mental health struggles with so much care and compassion. The conversations surrounding anxiety, vulnerability, and asking for help felt authentic and important without ever overshadowing the love story. Seeing Tyler surrounded by people who supported him wholeheartedly was incredibly moving.

And the found family? Absolutely top-tier.

The friendships, the traditions, the parents, the sibling-like relationships, and seeing beloved characters from earlier books all combined to create the warmest, most comforting reading experience. Samantha Brinn has always excelled at building families that feel real, and Irresistibly Us might be her best example yet.

Then there’s the romance itself.

The tension. The yearning. The quiet heartbreak of loving your best friend and being terrified of losing them. Every look, every touch, every “what if” carried so much weight because Tyler and Sophie already meant everything to each other before either of them acknowledged the truth. Their friendship remained the foundation of their relationship, which made every romantic moment hit that much harder.

“I’m sorry it took me so long to get here, but I’m here now, and I’m never leaving. It’s always been you for me, Soph. It will always be you for me.”

And when these besties finally became lovers?

Let’s just say Samantha Brinn understood exactly how much emotional buildup she’d given us and rewarded our patience accordingly. The chemistry was incredible, the spice delivered, and every intimate scene felt earned because of the years of love and trust that came before it.

“Let’s ruin the friendship, Sophie, because even though I didn’t know it, I think I’ve been waiting my whole life for you.”

Irresistibly Us is everything I want from a friends-to-lovers romance. It’s tender, funny, emotional, swoony, sexy, and overflowing with heart. It’s a story about soulmates who were standing right in front of each other all along, and watching them finally find their way there was pure magic.

“We’re inevitable. Irresistible. Irresistibly us.”

1000/10. No notes.

Tyler and Sophie have officially earned a permanent place in my Romance Hall of Fame, and somehow Samantha Brinn managed to write a book that topped what I once thought was my untouchable favorite. This story completely stole my heart, and honestly?

I don’t think I’m ever getting it back.
