I don’t know about you, but there’s something magical about a weekend that’s just wall-to-wall books. The kind where your coffee gets reheated three times because you’re too deep in the story to care.
This weekend’s lineup was a mood:
❤️ The Rule Breaker by Stephanie Alves – Forbidden tension, secret glances, and the kind of push-and-pull that makes you forget what time it is.
❤️ Her Greatest Mistake by Hanna Cowan – Heart-wrenching and hopeful all in one. My emotions are still unpacking their bags.
❤️ Reckless Storm by Katherine Jay – Angsty, broody, and stormy in all the best ways. Yes, I did stay up past midnight for this one.
❤️ Breaking the Pucking Rules by Tracy Lorraine – Hockey romance with spice and sass? My TBR is grateful. My sleep schedule is not.
❤️ Riding the High by Paisley Hope – Small-town charm, country grit, and a love story that hits you right in the feels.
Now excuse me while I go start another book… because clearly, my laundry can wait.

Isabella
A rebound. That’s all I was looking for. A fresh start, a clean slate, and maybe a little distraction to get my ex out of my head. What I didn’t expect was my roommate pushing me right into Ryan Reed—hockey team captain, and oh… my brother’s best friend. Avoiding him becomes impossible when I’m stuck seeing him every day thanks to my internship with my dad… who also happens to be Ryan’s coach. And then came the late-night talks. The flirting. The lines we promised we wouldn’t cross. It was supposed to be a one-time thing. Now I’m in way too deep, and falling for the one guy I was never supposed to touch.
Ryan
Being the captain of the hockey team and the younger brother of a hockey legend comes with a lot of pressure.
Which turns into the longest dry spell I’ve had in a while. But then I meet her. Isabella Hayes. Smart. Sexy. So damn tempting. But her brother’s my best friend. Her dad is my coach. And I’ve been warned to stay far, far away. Getting involved with Isabella is a disaster waiting to happen—especially when she deserves someone who can offer her more than casual fling. But when I find out she wants a rebound, I tell myself I can do this. Just once. No strings. But once turns into twice. Twice turns into three times. And soon I can’t even remember what it’s like to be away from her. Her brother would never forgive me if he found out. Her dad would kill me. But I can’t stop. And I sure as hell don’t want to.

I’m the face of the NHL. The golden boy with quick hands and a million-dollar smile the fans adore. My contract is up at the end of the season, and with playoffs starting, I have to be on my best behavior. Keep my head down and respect the press when they shove their microphones beneath my nose. This isn’t my first rodeo, so it should be easy. Right?
No. Not this time. One terrible call and I’m the poster boy for bad decisions.
I haven’t seen my childhood best friend since the day her father betrayed me and she broke my heart. Now, eight years later, she’s back. And she’s my fake girlfriend for the next two months. Some wounds never heal, and the moment I see Braxton Heights, I know mine have not. But she’s the only shot I have at saving my reputation and securing my new deal, and while I might have lost her all those years ago, I refuse to lose hockey.
I just hope I’m strong enough not to fall for her all over again in the process.

Have you read the latest headline?
“Hollywood starlet, Hayley Jackman, and Super Bowl champion, Reed Coombs, make it official.”
If only they knew it was FAKE.
Ask a friend to describe me and they’d likely tell you three things. I’m the NFL’s golden boy, I’m loyal—always seeing the best in everyone, and I’m in love with my best friend.
The last one’s a lie. I have a crush at best. A crush that’s lasted a good ten years, but who’s counting? Either way, it’s time to move on. Which is why I find myself going along with my friend’s crazy plan.
And that’s where Hayley comes in, playing the part of my new girlfriend. She’s helping me get over my “bestie,” as she puts it, and I’m helping her tame her wild reputation for a coveted role. Despite believing she should be free to live her life however the heck she wants.
Too bad it’s all a ruse.
Hayley’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met. She’s fierce, free, and loves keeping me on my toes. But she’s also the first person to see all of me. To see past the golden boy label, to the guy who just wants everyone to be happy.
She’s perfect and… Dammit, I think I have a problem. Because what happens when the fake becomes real, and the next thing I know, I’m falling in love with her? And on top of that, I’m soon to discover…that’s the least of our worries.

Kodie Rivers.
Hockey god.
Single dad.
And thanks to my father—his coach—he’s completely off-limits. But that only makes him more irresistible.
I know better than to think there’s a future with a man like him. His priorities are clear: his daughter and his career. No room for complications. No space for me. But after years of watching him from the sidelines, I’m done just looking. I want one night. One little taste to quiet the wild fantasies about the man I can’t have.
When my dad’s ticket to the LA Vipers’ annual charity masquerade falls at my feet, I know I should put it back. But the mask gives me the courage to be someone else for one night. Someone bold enough to go after what she wants.
And I want him. One night. No names. No consequences. But will it be enough, or will it only add more gasoline to my already out-of-control obsession?

Her heart is wild. Only he can capture it.
When Cole Ashby is appointed Laurel Creek’s interim sheriff, he is determined to prove himself as the best man for the job. A devoted single dad, his goal is to lay steady roots for his young daughter.
As the daughter of a Kentucky congressman, Ginger Danforth’s life has always been about neat appearances. But inside, she’s dying to break free and embrace the sense of adventure that runs through her veins.
During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, Ginger and Cole play a game of truth or dare and, after a few too many drinks, find themselves hitched in a neon-lit chapel. With no quick way out, they strike a deal: stay secretly married until Ginger’s father is reelected and Cole lands the sheriff job permanently.
But as the pair are forced to spend an increasing amount of time in each other’s company, sparks continue to fly and their accidental marriage starts to feel dangerously real. Until they forget they were ever pretending at all.
