Scottie Price just started a new job, and it’s a real sausage fest. She’s the only woman on a team filled with Brads and Chads. Expecting a bachelor pad atmosphere, she is quickly corrected when she finds out everyone is happily married. In an effort to impress her boss, Scottie mentions her nonexistent husband in a company meeting. But eagle-eyed Chad points out her lack of wedding ring. Panicked, Scottie creates a story about her unhappy marriage. Unfortunately for Scottie, her boss has a solution―a one-on-one session with the best marriage counselor in the Northeast, who happens to be her boss’s husband.

With no way out of her lie, Scottie agrees to see him. Frantic, she calls in help from her best friend who sets her up with his brother, an improv-obsessed millionaire. Enter Wilder Wells. More than happy to take on the job, he teaches Scottie the main rule of improv: always say yes. But the rule backfires during the session when Wilder signs them up for an eight-day summer marriage camp with all of Scottie’s co-workers where she’ll have to share a cabin with her way-too-handsome fake husband.

Meghan Quinn has done it again—with humor, heart, and a splash of second-chance romance, Till Summer Do Us Part delivers a feel-good story that’s both swoony and soul-stirring.

Quinn’s ability to intertwine banter (seriously though, the dialogue between the main characters, Scottie Price and Wilder Wells is simply laugh-out-loud funny), while balancing character vulnerabilities, and a slow burning romance, makes this new release an instant classic summer romance read.

FMC Scottie Price finds herself in a predicament when she lies about being married to “fit in” at work. Enter her fake husband, Wilder Wells, her best friend’s brother. Wells, an improv-obsessed tech millionaire, takes her ruse seriously, signing them up for an eight-day adult marriage boot camp. Also included in this camp—her co-workers, boss, and boss’s husband (aka, the relationship guru running the camp).

Without giving away too many details (because experiencing it first-hand is so much better), enjoy a few of my favorite scenes from the book. These excerpts are laced with laughter and a touch of spice, while a subtle thread of irritation simmers beneath the surface.

In one of the funniest scenes in the book, Scottie and Wilder are roped into a team-building obstacle course involving mud pits, blindfolds, and complete chaos. Wilder is cool and collected while Scottie is an angry, muddy mess.

“On your left—no, your other left!”
“I swear to God, I will drown you in this mud.”

In another scene, camp leaders make every couple create a sexy basket for each other. Scottie’s horror at the assignment, and Wilder’s overly enthusiastic participation, leads to one of the most quotable lines in the book.

“We’re here to do emotional deep dives, but you want me to hula-hoop in lingerie for chocolate?”

In-between the teasing and improvised antics, both characters are forced to face their vulnerabilities head on: Scottie, recovering from a divorce where she wasn’t appreciated that leaves her completely broken and fragile, and Wilder, figuring out what he wants beyond the tech world as he navigates his new wealth and becoming a better, more emotionally available partner.

Till Summer Do Us Part is a perfect summer escape—hilarious, heartfelt, and steamy. Scottie and Wilder are a delight from start to finish, and their journey from fake marriage to real love makes for a fun, feel-good read. Highly recommended for fans of fake-dating, forced-proximity tropes, and smart banter that leads to real romance.
